About
The Newton Graphic was a weekly newspaper, published in Newton, Massachusetts from 1882 – 1997. After 1997 it became an online-only Newsportal. It was founded in 1882 by brothers Henry M. Burt & Frank H. Burt in Newton, and is still local and independent today. The Graphic was known as the establishment paper of Newton as opposed to the Newton Times which was known as the protest paper. The Graphic was and is the voice of the Chamber of Commerce, strongly supporting local businesses. For a short time before it stopped printing papers, it was published in Waltham, Massachusetts.
